Hey, thanks for interest and some of the new stuff in the desktop files. However, the program isn't a system component, as it doesn't do anything actually. It remains a ultility, although many complain and refer to "the standard" and although the system menu is already crapped with utilities.

Similar, the tool doesn't show sensors -- this simply is wrong as sensors refer to hardware chips. Instead it shows their values. This well-thought generic name and comment will therefore stay as it is, it is left to packagers and self-installers to adjust that to their own thoughts. The short name is already inappropriately shortened for convenience in such an incorrect manner.

The translations are hence not applied.

I didn't know that startup-notification would work without specific code inside the application, so thanks for trying out and reporting. However, "the standard" recommends to not do so if the application does not send a "remove" message.

Without giving rationale, I don't see any reason for TryExec either. The desktop file is only installed when the package is installed manually or by a package manager and therefore it is always available. (And the entry is no longer shown in the menus when using TryExec on my system.)

Bug #6668
