Hi, the quicklauncher plugin seems to not support the Xfce 4.6 panel. When installed and trying to add it, it doesn't appear in the list, and .xsesssion-errors shows: (xfce4-panel:6924): xfce4-panel-WARNING **: Internal plugins need the "X-XFCE-Module-Path" entry to work properly. (xfce4-panel:6924): xfce4-panel-WARNING **: Failed to create plugin "quicklauncher It seems you need to (at least) add X-XFCE-Exec to .desktop file, but it doesn't seem enough.
I just registered to log this bug and found it already logged. PLEASE! fix this, it's such a nice common function. It's just about the first thing I set up on any desktop I use to access my most commonly used programs without cluttering up my taskbar with full sized icons. Maybe it was just an oversight to fix this one for 4.6?
Did you try the version from svn?
Created attachment 2432 Patch to fix module path in desktop file Here is a fix for 1.9.4, also adds "X-XFCE-Unique=false".
BTW: This is a duplicate of bug 3450. Can somebody with sufficient privileges please close this one?
(In reply to comment #4) > BTW: This is a duplicate of bug 3450. Sorry, I meant 3540.
