terminal window

After tiling the terminal window to any edge of any monitor at least once (mostly twice in a row is required), its content is not visible anymore. To make it visible again hitting any key or moving scroll wheel in any direction is required - selecting a text is not enough. Pressing Enter on active blank terminal window screws up the existing content by inserting plenty of empty space (screenshot attached).

that's a bug in the terminal widget.
Comment 2 Kubsztal 2015-04-17 19:36:19 CEST
Changed product to xfce4-terminal. Affected version: 0.6.3 - please update version selection in bugzilla.

I can confirm this, having the same problem.

1) start xfce4-terminal
2) fill up at least one full screen with output (e.g., do "ls -la" couple of times)
3) enlarge the window vertically (e.g. maximize it or simply resize)
4) and then shrink the window vertically (unmaximize)

The command line has now moved up couple of lines, which is a nuisance.

Repeat the resize a few times and all that is visible is a black window.

bug#11909 seems to be a duplicate of this.

This is most likely caused by the same vte2 bug as bug 9057. Should be fixed in vte3.

No issue in current gtk3 version.
