Maximizing by dragging windows

Hello,

Xfwm4 unmaximizes windows when dragging them by down from the edge of the screen, but it does not provide the inverse: i.e. maximizing windows when dragging them towards the edge of the screen. To get this feature, I must install Compiz (where the feature is called Grid), and that's quite a heavy piece of software for such a little feature.

Is there any way XFCE could enhance its window manager and have a drag-to-maximize feature too? I imagine that, in view of the the other half of the feature being in place already, it should not be difficult to add the option.

Thanks.

This is related to #9611 issue.

I proposed a patch for this feature here:

I guess this has been fixed by now, can you confirm?
Note: I'm using xfwm4 from git, which will probably be released with Xfce 4.12.
