Hello, there seems to a problem remembering keyboard shortcuts (as discussed in http://forum.xfce.org/index.php?topic=5100.0)

After assigning, they work. If I restart the pc, no shortcut is functioning. When I kill xfce4-settings-helper und restart it, then it is fine. xfce 4.6.0, xubuntu jaunty.

Well, I had the same problem and I think I've fixed it by launching ConsoleKit session. I've simply changed my ~/.xinitrc to
exec ck-launch-session startxfce4.

I have no idea is that proper solution due to entire system upgrade that I made yestarday (Gentoo). ConsoleKit is required by new NetworkManager applet and after launching it I realized that shortcuts works fine without restart of xfce4-settings-helper (and I'm almost sure that they didn't work in the morning, after upgrade).

I've been using "exec ck-launch-session startxfce4" in my .xinitrc file and I still have the hotkeys-not-working issue.

I'd like to inform this still isn't fixed yet.

However, whenever the xfce4-settings-helper does not work and i press an alt+Fx-key one of the following "words" appears in terminal. The other alt+F Combos do something else

Alt+F1 ;3P
Alt+F2 ;3Q
Alt+F3 ;3R
Alt+F5 ;3~

Please fix this, it is annoying.

If I log out and then log in again, shortcuts work.

If I restart xfdesktop nothing happens.

it turned out this is no a duplicate

bug 5639 is for xfce4-settings -> keyboard

the present bug seems to be for xfce4-settings -> window manager

after log out login shotcuts work, but if gdm is restarted with
sudo service gdm restart
 they stop work

This is still the same in xfce 4.8 current git
ctrl-shift-y krusader is not working.
It works after fresh reassign, but after next startup, the shortcuts is forgotten. Other shortcuts are working for example ctrl-shift-e for scite.

This is hopefully fixed with latest git master branch. Feel free to reopen if it's still an issue.
