Some changes I've recently made: the whole terminal window now gets an rgba colormap when the compositor is enabled. Before that the colormap was set on the display, which is a bit a weird way of setting a colormap. Could fixes some problems, so this might be worth trying.

Other changes like monitoring compositing changes etc will be added later.

  • 2818 terminal exhibits very slow redraw on some systems if the compositor is not used
  • 3052 Terminal gets fully transparent with background image
  • 3663 Colors don't draw correctly when compositor is enabled
  • 4075 After dist-upgrade from xubuntu 7.10 to 8.04 the window frame of the terminal is completely black such that the controls and window title are not visible (not in other xfce applications)
  • 4846 redrawing problem with context-menus
  • 4893 Application windows are getting scrambled when moved above a terminal window and Xinerama is active
