Created attachment 2107 a simple example with two terminals I have been experiencing a weird bug with Terminal for the past year or two, and I finally got some screenshots of it. When I right click on a Terminal, sections of other Terminals "disappear". Screenshots are attached. I'm not using composite. Steps to reproduce: 1. Open multiple Terminals and align them next to each other. 2. Select some text in one of the Terminals. 3. Right-click on a Terminal. 4. The context menu will appear, but sections will go "missing" from the other Terminals, loosely resembling the shape and position of the context menu. This does not happen 100% of the time as far as I can tell... perhaps 50%. Maybe there is some weird sequence to trigger the bug that I haven't figured out yet. When I drag the Terminal around, or type "clear", or switch workspaces, or do anything to force the Terminal window to redraw, the missing sections reappear. I don't how to debug this... but if you point me in the right direction I'll try! $ Terminal --version Terminal 0.2.8.3 (Xfce 4.4.3) Copyright (c) 2003-2007 os-cillation e.K. All rights reserved. Created attachment 2108 I can "see through" to the Thunar window below Here you can see Thunar is not affected
Created attachment 2109 the bottom panel has a chunk missing ...the panel will sometimes be affected as well.
Could you try this with other window managers? The terminal does not handle compositing, but it does use some special compositing using rgba windows.
