screenshot of visual bug with to small lcd clock

First let me say thank you for the work done on the new version, people don't
make bug reports to thank developers for features they really like, so you will
see some bug reports about some negative experiences but keep in mind that I
will always have positive experiences to. Beside this its always difficult to make good bug reports, what information does the developer needs and how can the reporter help the developer, please guide me in how you as developer like the bug reporter to help.

I upgraded my xfce4-panel on my Debian unstable testing system and I notched
that when a using the default panel clock plugin in LCD mode and when a time after 10:00 or 10:10 has been reached, the hole size of the displayed time gets very small. (I attached the screenshots for comparison)

After restarting the panel the lcd clock gets back to his previous size.

$ dpkg -l | grep panel
ii xfce4-clipman-plugin 2:0.9.1-1
ii xfce4-panel 4.6.0-2

Thanks in advance,

Jelle de Jong

Any news on fixing this issue? Around the same time I reported this issue I also reported an cosmetic issue with the icon of the xfce-clipman-plugin, the issue is already fixed and available in the main Debian repositories. I was hoping this issue would follow a similar time path.

The clock appearance in LCD mode goes bad on exactly 10:00 in the morning. Please see the screenshots.

Thanks in advance,

Jelle

Any updates on this bug report? I still have this issue on all of my xfce based systems, it is really annoying to reload the plug-in when the 10:00 time as passed.

I already mentioned this issue in comment 19 (2009-02-24 ) of Bug 3960 - LCD clock widget doesn't redraw correctly, but I didn't notice this happens at
10:00 AM!
I am using Debian/Sid with xfc4-panel v.4.7.0 (git)

We already resized at 10u or 0u, but at the exact zero second, because of the minute timeout that gets slightly off time after a while the resize did most likely not happen, will fix this to queue a resize in the 0 minute when seconds are disabled or within the first 3 second when they are active.

Fix also applied to master, please reopen if this problem still shows up in the next release.

I checked the latest git master.
The display of the LCD clock now no longer changes at 10.00AM.

Thanks,
Jos v.W.

Some days, but no longer every day, the problem still shows up at 10PM.
I am using the latest git version 4.7.0 of the panel.

This bug should be reopened since the wrong size of the LCD clock is still showing up in the master version of the panel.
