User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8.1.3) Gecko/20070425 Firefox/2.0.0.3 Build Identifier: I recently upgraded my xfce to 4.4.0 and have found that when the desktop has focus, any meta key (ALT, CTRL, SHIFT) causes the desktop to switch to workspace 12. No switch occurs if a meta key is pressed while a window has focus. I normally have 30 workspaces but in playing around I noticed that this problem only exists when 12 or more workspaces are present. If you have 11 workspaces, the meta key does not cause the desktop to switch. Checking/unchecking "Allow Xfce to manage the desktop" in the Desktop Settings panel did not change the behavior. I also set the Window Manager keyboard shortcut for switching to Workspace 12 to "None" just to be certain it wasn't accidentally being triggered. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.launch default XFCE 4.4.0 2.Create 12+ workspaces 3.switch to an empty workspace (not 12) and press ALT or SHIFT or CTRL Actual Results: the desktop switches to workspace 12 Expected Results: the desktop stays on the current workspace
I cannot reproduce this problem.
Ok, I can reproduce the problem, the missing bit is that the desktop must be unfocusable (ie no icon whatsoever)
Ok, fixed in svn, both branches.
You're correct; I forgot to specify that I prefer turning off desktop icons and so that turns out to be relevant. It also means that re-enabling the icons is a temporary workaround as an alternative to taking the current SVN release. Thank you for your quick response and all your hard work on this project.
