I have a folder and a file on my desktop. I want to move the file into the folder. They both are on the same mounted device and partition... I drag and drop the file into the folder, and i see there is a new file copy made in the folder. This should be a move unless the folder or file are on seperate devices. thanks.
Confirming this bug with xfdesktop 4.6.2-1+b1, as this behaviour is incoherent with the "normal" desired behaviour described in bug 5508: > The behavior is to move when the destination directory is owned by the user and > in your home. Thanks
This bug is still present in XFCE 4.8. I would consider this a bug rather than an enhancement, as it is completely counter intuitive to what I expect as a user, and it interrupts my workflow whenever I'm working with something on the desktop.
This behaviour is not desired. I am experiencing after installingFedora 15 from the i386 install iso.
