With xfce4-panel v. 4.3.99.1, the volume control bar of the xfce4-mixer plugin is no more consistent with other plugins (battery monitor, system load). The bar takes all the vertical space in an horizontal panel and does not rotate horizontaly in a vertical panel. Could it be possible to change the behaviour of the bar to be consistent with other plugins ?

Appears to be a dupe of 2267 - http://bugzilla.xfce.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2267 Mike Massonnet has also attached a patch to that one, and it does correct the problem (at least with respect to vertical alignment).
