Description vermaden 2019-11-21 18:28:19 CET
Hi.

As described in this thread below, I would like to know if its possible (even by modifying the source code) to achieve smaller padding/spacing like in Caja from Mate.

https://forum.xfce.org/viewtopic.php?id=13538

Its not really a BUG, but Moderator from XFCE Forums suggested that I could create a BUG report because there is no easy answer to my question.

Regards,
vermaden

Same as bug 16196?

I did not treated it as a bug, I just wanted to get info how to setup or modify Thunar to have smaller padding/spacing as Caja currently has.

A recent exo commit has added extra padding as a side effect, so you should be able to use that code and adjust the values to your liking.

I have recompiled libexo and after reverting that change from the link - https://git.xfce.org/xfce/exo/commit/?id=6fcefce9f1e7bb34cb65290c37f889481a677130 - the only visible difference is that columns now have slightly less padding/spacing (about 2px) between them. This is not a problem.

I am asking about how to make smaller padding/spacing between items in the single column, like vertical padding/spacing between items/icons, like in Caja on the attached screenshot.

Regards.
