Gnome-clocks won't give notifications nor play sound nor raise on top after timers are done unless the window is maximized by the user. apparently this not a Gnome-clocks issue, there is something wrong with Xfwm4. I believe that Gnome-clock isn't the only application affected by this, probably any other timer/alarm app is suffering from the same issue with Xfcwm4, or perhaps timers/alarms that where made specifically for Gnome is the only ones suffering from this?

they should give notifications and play sounds and raise on top whenever a timer/alarm is done without any interaction from the user.

Gnome-Clocks 3.26.1 on OpenSuse Leap 15 with Xfwm 4.12.4 (revision 7844952) for xfce 4.12

I think this may be related to this bug https://bugzilla.xfce.org/show_bug.cgi?id=10697

The window manager (xfwm4) is not involved in any of these (neither the client sending notifications nor playing sounds), this bug is invalid.

If it's not Xfwm4, nor the client (gnome-clocks), then what is it? I believe this bug is serious because it "blocks" the use of timer/alarm clients. This why I set the severity to "blocker". Please respond.
