When I'm using Thunar 1.6.15, I sometimes see: files had been already moved out of the folder but they didn't disappear. It was more often in 1.6.14. But still sometimes reproduced in 1.6.15. How to reproduce? I opened two tabs. And moving 500 image files between two folders tens of times. Switching between tabs during move. Thanks.

Yeah, thanks! Additions: 1. Not all moved files are selected in the destination folder and have a normal thumbnail: attached a screenshot (1.png). 2. I see a similar issue after extracting of an archive (2.png). Broken icons exist when both a & b: a) after I have switched from transfer window to folder window; b) before I scrolled the latter or switched to some another window (i.e. folder window's view updated). 3. One time I saw one more issue (maybe, similar): on external NTFS partition, just at folder viewing, a subfolder treated as a regular file. So it had o text-or-unknown-file icon and was listed after all folders (3.png, but it's a reconstruction). Refreshing the folder helped. Thanks!

So, p.2 and p.3 of https://bugzilla.xfce.org/show_bug.cgi?id=14755#c3 are not duplicate of the new bug #14754 . And seems like p. 2 is not reproduced in Thunar 1.8.9.

I refered to p.2 and p.3 which , if I get it correctly, are still pending problems, and are not duplicates to bug #14754 ? .. maybe we should close this bug and #14754 and open a new bug for each remaining problem (if there are remaining problems?), to be more precise. You would agree on that ?

Seems like p.2 *doesn't remain* in 1.8(.9). Could it be? Have mechanisms which are used here changed since 1.6? p.2 *remains* in Thunar 1.6(.17) but I already don't have it on my system. p.3 was rare so I can't recatch it... Feel free to close both of bugs unless there are plans to fix them in 1.6 branch. Thanks!

Still present in 1.8.9 :( Was something new on this in 1.8.10+?
There is still a problem for archive extraction: Bug #16093. Besides that I did not observe any ghost files, etc any more using thunar master. I want to release 1.8.10 today / tomorrow .. if you can still reproduce any ghostfile glitches besides the known archive extraction with 1.8.10, please open a new bug !
No, unfortunately it's about invalid files selection after move. See bug #16149
