When I'm using Thunar 1.6.14, I sometimes see: A-1. Current list of files is incorrect, A-2. Thumbnails of some files are broken. When do I see this behavior? B-1. On moving files. B-2. On copying files. B-3. Else? What does mean "incorrect list of files"? C-1. Files had been already moved out of the folder but they didn't disappear. C-2. Files had been already moved in the folder but they didn't appear. What does "broken thumbnail" mean? D-1. Neighbors of file (with the same type, size, etc.) have thumbnail but this file doesn't (i.e. has a typical icon) What does "repair" the view? E-1. Sometimes reloading repairs this only. E-2. Sometimes re-entering the folder repairs this only. So? F-1. Do we have a bug for this? F-2. Do we have a patch for this? Thanks! P.S. On moving files, icons disappears "from the middle of list". Isn't it strange?
Thanks for reporting. Pretty much sounds like Bug #12435 Should be fixed inside thunar 1.6.15 ( and in thunar 18.x ) Please take a try for some up-to-date thunar version and let me know !
Yes, confirm it's fixed (except broken thumbnails) in 1.6.15. But it was pretty cool to not mention it in changelog. Thanks.
Uh, indeed, sorry, forgot to mention the bug in NEWS for 1.6.15 :F Could you please open a separate bug for the broken thumbnails ? I cannot reproduce it here .. maybe you can upload two example files ?
Sorry but I revoke my confirmation. But it's difficult to reproduce. I opened two tabs. And moving 500 image files between two folders tens of times. Switching between tabs during move. Yes in 1.6.14 it happened oftenly. But still catch 2 times in 1.6.15.
