Currently, there is no working way to remove launchers from $HOME/.local/share/applications' via thunar. When pressing "open with"--> "other application" one can right-click on the different applications and gets a grayed out, disabled "remove launcher" button. Trying the same in nautilus works fine. On nautilus the feature is called "forget association". It looks like Bug #1814 once fixed this issue .. to be checked why the item is grayed out now.
The "Remove Launcher" entry is meant for user added launchers (-> use a custom command). [Added Associations] text/plain=userapp-mousepad"-7K7IA0.desktop ~/.local/share/applications/userapp-mousepad"-7K7IA0.desktop
Ok, thanks for the hint ! So what I am requesting actually is a new feature :) What I want it is not about removing launchers, but about not showing some generally installed launchers as "recommended application"/"preferred application".
