Currently, you can drag and drop items from xfce4-appfinder to the config dialog of starters. Anyway, you still can't do this: 1. Drag and drop items from xfce4-apppfinder to the panel in order to create a new starter, 2. drag and drop items from one starter config dialog to another Would be cool if this could be implemented in the near future. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Try dragging items from appfinder to the panel -- 2. Try dragging items from one starter config dialog to another Actual Results: 1. Nothing happens, dropping of the item is rejected -- 2. Nothing happens, the item is rejected Expected Results: 1. A new starter is created with the appfinder item as first record -- 2. The item is moved (or at least copied) to the other config dialog
> 1. Drag and drop items from xfce4-apppfinder to the panel in order to create a new starter This is hard to do, since we need free space on the panel and we need to know the difference between a file from the appfinder and a regular .desktop file, that a user may want to drag to a launcher. > 2. drag and drop items from one starter config dialog to another Yeah, this would be nice, as well as rearranging items in one dialog by drag and drop. I most likely won't have time to do this for 4.4.0, though.
3. Open a "auto hide" panel if something is to be dropped on it... Currently, DnD to a collapsed panel does not open the panel, which disables dropping something on it...

Any news on this request?

More or less all of this is/should be resolved in the 4.8 panel. Dnd to the panel to create a launcher works, dnd between launcher dialogs not, because I hardly see any use of that.
Devel branch has been merged in master. A 4.7.0 release will follow soon. If you think this bug is not fixed? Feel free to reopen the bug.
