Cursor immediately changes when I move an icon on the desktop : two little horns over a pale body replicating the moved icon. Thereafter, the left horn acts as the real cursor and one has to drag the whole new thing till reboot or relogin. This is very bad, since it shows at every "demo"... There are other description of the same problem elsewhere, for example this one : http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php? … p=13288144 My PC configuration : Xubuntu 14.04.02, ASUS UX305 (cpu Intel Core M with Intel Integrated Graphics), 64 bit Note that on this machine, XFCE 4.12 has the same problem. After searching on forums about "Intel Graphics", I found a workaround by defining Intel Graphics "AccelMethod" as "uxa" instead of the default "sna"... but this is not sustainable cause I loose vaapi accelerated video in VLC (black screen !). Nevertheless, this not-so-good "workaround" proves that there is some misfit between xfdesktop and "new" Intel Graphics drivers, esp with the "new" sna AccelMethod. And an upgrading of xfdesktop would be the real solution.
This is a driver bug and it needs to be fixed by the Intel developers. Please download and install the latest version of the Intel GPU driver and see if the problem still occurs. If yes, forward this bug to the according bug tracker [1]. [1] https://bugs.freedesktop.org/
Please consider that I already have added the xorg-edgers ppa to get the latest available gpu driver with my Xubuntu 14.04 LTS. Nothing changed. I apologize for the interruption in your self content by my bug report.
