Subtitles always appear, even if the if Parole is set not to play them (Video->Subtitles->None). It can be "fixed" by deleting the vid's .str files if present but if the subtitles are compressed within file there is no apparent solution.

I'm pretty sure we meanwhile fixed this problem (and forgot to close the report) because I cannot reproduce it anymore... Please reopen if you still can in the latest release.
