does not remember settings in session, does not change layout neither with hotkeys, neither with mouse, all hotkeys doesn't work

Downgrading to libxklavier version 5.3-1 helped

It looks like libxklavier 5.4 is available in Arch's extra repo - could you try it out? Everything works fine with libxklavier 5.4 on Fedora 20 for me...
