Today after updating xorg-setxbmap on Arch the plugin stopped working. It dropped half of the previous settings, and after restoring them they didn't have any effect. In my case specifically setting caps lock as the compose key and alt+shift as the switch layout key didn't work anymore, the system ignores those settings despite them being set in the plugin. Before the update it all worked.

The update involved a  whole bunch of other packages, many of them belonging to xfce, but xorg-setxbmap seems the most relevant culprit. However I'd gladly post the whole list of updated packages on request.

Not sure what's the ultimate cause of this and whether it's the fault of the plugin, but thought you should know.

updated libxklavier seems to be causing this according to bug 10994...
