Apparently, there is no way to browse "dot" directories or files. I have specifically set xfburn to do so without success. I spoke with the FreeBSD port maintainer and he confirmed that this is an apparent bug.

Thanks for noticing this. The preference had absolutely no effect - it's fixed now in rev. 7700.
