Created attachment 4989
Region of screen that changes when window loses focus.

1. Visit a web page (e.g., http://jsfiddle.net/ExplosionPIlls/2LQfg/50/)
2. Highlight some text (e.g., Row 1, Row 2, Row 3)
3. Take a screen shot of a screen region.
4. Included the highlighted text in the screen region.
5. Save the image.

Expected Results

The screen capture shows the portion of the screen exactly.

Actual Results

The screen capture takes away focus from the browser window, which causes the Windowing system to change the colour of the highlighted text. This then does not produce accurate screen shots.

For example, you could not reproduce the attached region capture: http://i.stack.imgur.com/d7UVg.png

Because the highlighted text changes colour.

Work Around

Capture the entire window, then crop the area in GIMP (or other image editor).

If the "Delay before capture" is enabled, so this problem would be solved because after selecting the region, the window has the time to get focus back.

This is was made possible because of bug #12336, let's wait for a release.
