On my openSuSE 12.3 the cpu-graph plugin uses more and more memory. Yesterday it had a 50% memory usage. After restarting the panel the memory use of the plugin is about 0,3 % and then the memory use is growing little by little. rpm -qa | grep xfce xfce4-terminal-0.6.1-2.1.2.i586 xfce4-screenshooter-1.8.1-4.1.2.i586 xfce4-session-lang-4.10.0-7.3.1.noarch patterns-openSUSE-xfce_basis-12.3-7.10.1.i586 libxfce4ui-lang-4.10.0-6.1.2.noarch xfce4-power-manager-lang-1.2.0-7.2.1.noarch xfce4-panel-plugin-cpufreq-1.0.0-12.1.1.i586 xfce4-panel-plugin-notes-1.7.7-18.1.2.i586 libxfce4panel-1_0-4-4.10.0-5.1.1.i586 libxfce4ui-1-0-4.10.0-6.1.2.i586 xfce4-panel-plugin-systemload-lang-1.1.1-2.1.1.noarch xfce4-notifyd-0.2.2+git20120516-4.1.2.i586 xfce4-session-4.10.0-7.3.1.i586 xfce4-panel-plugin-systemload-1.1.1-2.1.1.i586 xfce4-mixer-4.10.0-4.1.2.i586 xfce4-terminal-lang-0.6.1-2.1.2.noarch xfce4-appfinder-lang-4.10.0-4.1.2.noarch xfce4-panel-lang-4.10.0-5.1.1.noarch xfce4-panel-plugin-weather-0.8.3-1.1.1.i586 xfce4-taskmanager-1.0.0-20.1.2.i586 libxfce4ui-tools-4.10.0-6.1.2.i586 xfce4-settings-4.10.0-4.1.2.i586 xfce4-screenshooter-lang-1.8.1-4.1.2.noarch patterns-openSUSE-xfce_office-12.3-7.10.1.i586 xfce4-power-manager-1.2.0-7.2.1.i586 xfce4-appfinder-4.10.0-4.1.2.i586 xfce4-settings-lang-4.10.0-4.1.2.noarch libxfce4util-lang-4.10.0-4.1.1.noarch xfce4-panel-plugin-cpugraph-1.0.4-2.1.1.i586 libxfce4util6-4.10.0-4.1.1.i586 xfce4-notifyd-lang-0.2.2+git20120516-4.1.2.noarch xfce4-dict-0.6.0-25.1.2.i586 xfce4-panel-4.10.0-5.1.1.i586 xfce4-panel-plugin-mixer-4.10.0-4.1.2.i586 xfce4-panel-plugin-notes-lang-1.7.7-18.1.2.noarch patterns-openSUSE-xfce-12.3-7.10.1.i586 xfce4-panel-plugin-weather-lang-0.8.3-1.1.1.noarch xfce4-panel-branding-openSUSE-4.10.0-14.3.2.noarch xfce4-panel-plugin-cpufreq-lang-1.0.0-12.1.1.noarch xfce4-session-branding-openSUSE-4.10.0-14.3.2.noarch libxfcegui4-4-4.10.0-4.1.1.i586 xfce4-mixer-lang-4.10.0-4.1.2.noarch xfce4-settings-branding-openSUSE-4.10.0-14.3.2.noarch xfce4-notifyd-branding-openSUSE-4.10.0-14.3.2.noarch xfce4-taskmanager-lang-1.0.0-20.1.2.noarch xfce4-panel-plugin-xkb-0.5.4.3-6.1.1.i586 openSUSE-xfce-icon-theme-4.10.0-14.3.2.noarch xfce4-panel-plugin-cpugraph-lang-1.0.4-2.1.1.noarch libxfcegui4-data-4.10.0-4.1.1.noarch libxfcegui4-lang-4.10.0-4.1.1.noarch xfce4-panel-plugin-xkb-lang-0.5.4.3-6.1.1.noarch xfce4-splash-branding-openSUSE-12.3-6.7.5.noarch libxfce4ui-branding-openSUSE-4.10.0-14.3.2.noarch xfce4-dict-lang-0.6.0-25.1.2.noarch xfce4-screenshooter-doc-1.8.1-4.1.2.i586
This is most likely a duplicate of https://bugzilla.xfce.org/show_bug.cgi?id=9691 or https://bugzilla.xfce.org/show_bug.cgi?id=9125 . Can you please check what gtk theme you are using?
I am indeed using Adwaita. It seems stable with another theme. As Adwaita is the default in openSUSE, should I make a bug report on the openSuSE bugzilla? Is it a mistake in general to use this theme?
Pretty sure that's a dupe of 9691, followup there. If the leak disappears when using another theme provided by the gtk xfce engine, then adwaita is at fault. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 9691 ***
