Image of playback failure

OS: Xubuntu 13.04 "Raring"
System: Intel i7, 8GB RAM, GeForce 560 Ti (Closed source drivers)
Packages:
Parole 0.5.0
exfat-utils 1.0.1-1
exfat-fuse 1.0.1-1
gstreamer0.10-ffmpeg 0.10.13-5

Conditions: Watching several .mkv files from an external HDD formatted in exFAT, when switching files an error is produced that will cause no video to play until Parole is closed and re-opened. Happens when choosing a different file from the menu or when switching automatically from the playlist. Cannot replicate failure when playing files on internal drive formatted in JFS.

Terminal Output:

In the past, Linux has had poor support for exfat-formatted partitions. Could you please try running this same test using Totem and see if it yields better results? I'm attempting to find out if it's a gstreamer-related bug.

I'll test it and get the results back to you ASAP.

After the issue, I ran a full exFAT format to check for bad sectors. Turns out it had a few of bad sectors and after a full format it's performance increased greatly. I immediately went back and retested in Parole 0.5.0 and saw no gstreamer failure when switching videos. Also tested in Totem 3.6.3 and had no errors from external drive. My conclusion is this was an isolated incident based on faulty hardware.
