Parole will not play an audio file completely, cutting off the last 500-700 ms or so. Length of the audio file does not make a difference. If a file is 1 minute long, it will play 58.5 seconds of it Short files (less than 1 second) open, but do not play at all. No warnings or failures are written to the command-line. The same sounds used for testing played completely using totem, aplay and paplay. File types tried were .wav, .m4a, .wma, .ogg System Info: - Slackware 14.0 - 64 bit - Athlon II Quad-core 3.1 GHz - 4 GB RAM - 200+ GB HDD space free - ALSA installed - Pulseaudio installed and running as daemon uname -a: - Linux [hostname] 3.2.29 #2 SMP Mon Sep 17 14:19:22 CDT 2012 x86_64 AMD Phenom(tm) II X4 B45 Processor AuthenticAMD GNU/Linux Audio device (lspci): - 00:05.0 Audio device: nVidia Corporation MCP61 High Definition Audio (rev a2) Gstreamer plugins installed: - base - good - bad - ugly - ffmpeg
