While the (default: 2 second time-out) tab activity indicator is useful to show very recent activity. I would think it would be incredibly useful to have some indication remain (eg. another color) to show that activity has occured since the tab was last viewed.


Example label text color scheme:

Red for <2sec. indicating recent activity

Brown for any activity since last viewed
