I have a "show flat buttons" tasklist option on. Occasionally, one or more buttons in the tasklist switches to a non-flat state and it stays that way until I go to panel properties and switch the option off and on. I haven't figured what causes this error, it happens rarely. It seems related to switching windows or some of them raising themselves. Xfce 4.10, RHEL5, custom-compiled gtk stack. I've seen this error on Ubuntu as well but I haven't noticed it for a while now.
Created attachment 4762 screenshot of the bug Me too. It seems to happen more often with thunar windows, but might be coincidence. Or it might be because I'm opening them with the Places widget. I'm also using compiz as window manager. Using Ubuntu 12.10, Xfce 4.10.
I am also experiencing this bug in XFCE 4.10. My distro is Gentoo amd64 and WM is Openbox. I've just caught it with two gajim windows: roster + msgwindow. After closing and reopening the same windows everything was fine. Since the screenshot already attached, I'll attach xprop output for both these gajim windows in bugged and non-bugged states hope it'll help.
Created attachment 4875 xprop output of gajim's roster in bugged state
Created attachment 4876 xprop output of gajim's roster in normal state
Created attachment 4877 xprop output of gajim's msgwin in bugged state
Created attachment 4878 xprop output of gajim's msgwin in normal state
One thing I know for certain causes this is Pidgin windows which open themselves (e.g. when an IM is received and there is no window open for that user). I'm using xfwm4 on Arch.
