if you try to look for a second time, it is not an active search button

Sorry, I can't really understand what you meant.
Mousepad 0.3.0 now features a search just like Firefox.
But I did find it difficult to move to the next search match.
Maybe the enter key or up/down keys should react in order to find the next/previous match. Matt, what do you think?

Changing to NEEDINFO.

@André, I think there's a "activates-default" or similar property on GtkEntry or so that reacts to Enter key, or however works best. Do you mind to make a new bug report for it (if you haven't yet, I have some bug reports to read still)?

Done: Bug 10438

Closing as wontfix since it seems not to be relating to new Mousepad and the OP hasn't provided further information. If the bug still occurrs, feel free to re-open/create a new bug report.
