Created attachment 4632 Broken Mounting with Places The bug has been here for donkeys years now. Use panel plugin places to mount any unmounted drive (internal, external storage- doesn't matter). Bug: Requires to click twice despite clicking "Mount and Open" instead of just "Mount". You have to click again the drop down menu, again the drive and again "Mount and Open". This time it will open Thunar. Should do it on the first click. Inspect BOTH exo and "Places" plugin, as this behaviour does not affect Thunar. If necessary both teams should talk, not avoid fixing. Affects Xfce 4.8 and 4.10. Reproduction: 1. Put "Places" plugin on panel 2. Chose ANY unmounted drive 3. Click "Mount and Open" 4. Nothing happens (setup with or without escalated priviliges confirmation) 5. Click again "Places" 6. Chose your drive that should already be opened. 7. Click on it. 8. Only then Thunar opens. Tested with: Sabayon 9, Sabayon 10 (Xfce 4.10), Ubuntu Xfce 4.8, Ubuntu Xfce 4.10 Expected resaults and coders behaviour: Both teams of exo and "Places" plugin should talk to each other. Mumble or SFLPhone suggested.
Fast foward 2018, I can't reproduce this bug, very likely has been fixed. @John can you reproduce?
