Using Xfce 4.2 (installed gentoo e-build) and have glib 2.6.4 (ebuild package).

When starting XFce4 I get the following errors:
(xfdesktop:22665): GLib-CRITICAL **: (g_hash_table_insert): assertion 
`hash_table != NULL' failed
 
(xfce4-panel:22667): GLib-CRITICAL **: (g_hash_table_insert): assertion 
`hash_table != NULL' failed

Happy to follow instructions to bottom this out.

1. run startxfce4

Actual Results:  
Desktop appears to work fine, but have intermittent lock-ups, particularly when 
changing themes.

Oops, forgot. This looks very much related to Bug #525, but I couldn't edit 
that one.

They're harmless.  I once spent some time trying to track it down, without
success.  It's really not worth the time.
