Application's window randomly opened in maximized mode or not

I'm using Opera as my default browser and so I open that application every day.

I'm using Opera in not maximized mode - the window covering the left 70% (approx.) of the screen.

When starting Opera after booting my machine it randomly appears in maximized mode or covering the left 70% (as Opera saves the geometry by default).

I'm using Opera for a long time now and this did not happen in Gnome 2 for years - it still does not happen in Gnome 2 witht he current Opera version. So I guess it has to do something with Xfce...
