I am running Xubuntu 12.04 with XFCE 4.10 and Orage 4.8.3 loaded from the xubuntu-dev ppa. Steps to reproduce: Open the Preferences and the Display Settings tab. Under the Calendar Main Window section select to show all the elements (border, menu, todo list, etc.) then unselect them to hide all elements. A gray empty space will be left below the calendar. This appears to be an issue limited to vertical elements. When adding or removing the week numbers the window size remains constant but the width of the calendar adjusts to fill the width. When the vertical elements are removed the calendar shifts up leaving an empty space. If you need any additional information please let me know and I will do my best to supply it.
Yes, true. As a workaround you can manually change the size and get rid of that empty space. I wanted to keep the window size adjustable so that people could choose how many events and todos they want to see before scrollbar appears. Basically if both events and todos are hidden, this space is not needed and could be automatically adjusted and removed. But it is pretty easy to change it manually and this usually does not have to be done often, so the priority of this issue id rather low.
Thanks for having a look at this. I tried editing the config file ~/.config/orage/oragerc but that takes trial and error punctuated by restarts of Orage. Realized after the fact that it is much easier just to use the alt-right-mouse-button shortcut to resize the window. Thanks again! !
