Description LAZA 2012-06-13 15:19:28 CEST
I make symlinks (i'm in the the target directory) from on dir to another for different files with this command:

ln -s ~/Videos/0401\ R\ \&\ Z\ 12.avi

The target itself is also in my home-dir, in the public folder.

If an symlink exists, there should be the feedback "file exists" or something (which is implemented), BUT
in the german translation you can read

"
ln: Symbolischen Verknüpfung »./0401 R & Z 12.avi“ konnte angelgt werden: Die Datei existiert bereits
"

There is first an typo in it:
angelgt = angelegt

Second, and much worse, the NO is complete lost, the sentence says:
Link could be created: The file already exists.
The correct sentence would be:
"ln: Symbolischen Verknüpfung »./0401 R & Z 12.avi“ konnte nicht angelegt werden: Die Datei existiert bereits."

This leads to the complicated situation, that an unexperienced user does not understand, what had happened and which information is correct...
