Searching for the city München, Germany. Searching "München" returns no result. Searching "Muenchen" returns the result ", The Gambia". Searching "Munich" returns "Munich, The Gambia", "Munich ND", "Munich, MN" Searching "Munchen" returns http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1507406/Suche_Wetterstationscode_005.png Searching Germany returns http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1507406/Suche_Wetterstationscode_004.png After the last search I realized that "Germany" is somehow got translated with "The Gambia" and thus "Munich, The Gambia" is the right result. But it's not very intuitive... I don'tknow if it's aproblem of the weather service being used or of the applet itself but if the latter is the case please fix it. Using Xfce 4.10 and xfce4-weather-plugin 0.7.4 on Arch Linux with the German system locale.
I'm not sure, but I think this was fixed in http://git.xfce.org/panel-plugins/xfce4-weather-plugin/commit/?id=fa62c838ea0cbb589dfddf2b28d50a85eeee711d. Whatever, it's working correctly in git now.
I'm not very familiar with git versioning, so: Is there already a release including this commit? At least as of 0.7.4 the problem persists.
No, 0.7.4 doesn't have the fix. I haven't tried it so I'm not 100% sure, but this patch looks promising and should apply on 0.7.4: http://git.xfce.org/panel-plugins/xfce4-weather-plugin/commit/?id=fa62c838ea0cbb589dfddf2b28d50a85eeee711d Or you simply try current git master http://git.xfce.org/panel-plugins/xfce4-weather-plugin.
