Upgraded to Xfce 4.9 (Gentoo package xfce-base/xfce4-meta-4.10_pre) from 4.8 and now can't set resolution via Display Settings. I can see the desired resolution in the list and I can select it and the prompt comes up asking if i want to keep it (I do) but the resolution doesn't actually change. There are no errors reported.

On the other hand 'xrandr -s 2560x1600' does work. I can also set the resolution via the ATI Catalyst Control Centre (as root). In both cases the change is lost after logout.

I tried deleting ~/.cache, ~/.local and ~/.config but no effect.

Login Manager is LightDM

That should be fixed in git with http://git.xfce.org/xfce/xfce4-settings/commit/?id=cd0b1a0d839ea9ba7ade6f31e2b1ca221e854b1a
