Hi All, A request for your expert evaluation for inclusion in 4.10: In 4.8, when I open a launchers "Properties" dialog box, the top of the box states "Launcher". Would you consider modifying this comment to include which launcher based on its folder name in ~/.config/xfce4/panel? In other words, instead of stating "Launcher" at the top of the properties dialog, it would state "launcher-24". This would greatly improve my ability to "find" the actual launcher when I need to do manual maintenance on the it. It would lower the frustration level considerably. Thank you for your consideration, -T
Not a bad idea, except that "launcher-24" is not a word so is not very suitable for use as a title. This should probably read as "Launcher no. 24" or be displayed in a tooltip. Related issue: "Panel Preferences"->Items contains a list of all plugins in the panel. All items have their internal names displayed in tooltips, btw. However, all launchers use the same icon, which makes it difficult to distinguish them from each other. Proposed solutions: - use the same icon as the one shown in the panel, and/or - add the name of the first application to the tooltip or the plugin name. (just to make it clear: although I'd like to see these features in 4.10 I don't consider them worth delaying the release)
In the treeview of the properties dialog the file location of the entry can be shown (like in the add-dialog). Items dependent icons require new API, so I want add that in 4.10 at this point.
