Hi.

Faced with this problem. Mouse wheel does not adjust the volume through the icon in the system tray when using pulseaudio. If you adjust the volume via the mixer window, then everything works. This behavior was observed on the thin client (LTSP). In LTSP uses pulseaudio for sound transportation to many thin clients. So I think this bug as a major. I'm working on Gentoo Linux.

Might be a duplicate of bug 6624. Is this still an issue with version 4.9.0? If so please enable the runtime debugging mode as follows:

xfce4-panel -q
export PANEL_DEBUG=xfce4-mixer-plugin
xfce4-panel

and attach the output here.

Can't reproduce it on 4.8.0.
