Hi, me and alot of other LXDE users (Lubuntu, redhat with lxde) are facing a strange issue when using xfce4-power-manager in lxpanel first of all, here are the distro-bugs https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/lxpanel/+bug/846878 https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=765726 http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=3458395&group_id=180858&atid=894869 LXDE is using xfce4-power-manager as default. Also the applet is used in the systray. When the powermode is changed (e.g. plugin off the ac-adapter) the xfce4-power-manager applet is producing spaces in the panel. For every mode-change there are more spaces here is an example http://alpha-unix.de/~iceroot/lxde-indicator-spaces.png only xfce4-power-manager is producng this spaces, when i remove xfce4-power-manager from the panel everything is fine, all other icons are working fine, even when they change there icon so i guess the bug is in xfce4-power-manager. it would be great to get some feedback on this and of course feel free to ask for more informations. thank you michael
Please see my last comments: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/lxpanel/+bug/846878 we have a working patch http://git.xfce.org/xfce/xfce4-power-manager/commit/?id=643962eb2d46d48042db0ab278c46813da8b6e9b
Unluckily Henry Gebhardt was discovering a use-case where the empty spaces still appear. If you remove/add the battery the empty spaces are there again. I can reproduce it with the latest patched version of xfce4-power-manager on lubuntu 12.04
