Summary of the downstream report:

On a openSUSE 11.4 machine logout sometimes but not every time takes excessively long, it seems to hang for about half a minute.
Session saving is enabled and if the problem occurs it is not saved correctly and xfwm4 is not started on the next login.
Unfortunately it happens only on 1 out of 3 machines which are running XFCE 4.8 and the affected machine has very bad I/O performance (due to SW RAID-1 with slow harddisks).

This happens with xfce4-session 4.8.0 and 4.8.2, attached is a copy of .xsession-errors which was saved after the problem had occurred on logout.
