On my old x86 workstation not long ago (about month or two) I rememeber the following issue: x11-terms/terminal (0.4.8) rarely, but regularly (not once) looses interface (no action is available, including closing window via DE). Xsession log (now slim.log) at that time contains records like: (Terminal:2941): Gtk-CRITICAL **: IA__gtk_widget_event: assertion `WIDGET_REALIZED_FOR_EVENT (widget, event)' failed To close application I am to cwitch to console (Crtl-Alt-F1), login and send TERM signal to process (in quoted case 2941). Should such bugs be reported in downstream (Gentoo) Bugzilla, or it's necessary and ehough to report them upstream? x11-libs/gtk+ Installed versions: 2.24.8-r1(2)(12:20:57 16.01.2012)(cups introspection -aqua -debug -doc -examples -test -vim-syntax -xinerama) 3.0.12-r1
Closing as per downstream http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=399801 (The user "solved" his problem by rebuilding the dependency tree for terminal)
