When I`m trying to move for example xfterm4 window or mozilla window XFWM4 freezes (hard)
I can move a mouse pointer but nothing else. Only a reboot helps.
XFWM4 cvs , Xorg 6.8.2 , NVIDIA 7167 , composite enabled. (without OK)
with NVIDIA 6629 everything was been OK

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. run xfce with xfwm4 cvs and compositor and nv 7167
2. open a xfterm4
3. try to move xfterm4 window somewhere

Actual Results:
xfwm4 FREEZING (hard) only reboot helps.

Expected Results:
normal work of xfwm4 , no freezing

x11-libs/gtk+-2.6.4

Theis a known bug in NVidia drivers with some cards. Try reducing AGP speed
and/or disable sidebands (ro simply downgrade yuor driver)

The problem arises in Xfce simply because it loads the driver.

As a general note, Xfce is regular user space application, it simply cannot
freeze your computer, only drivers that access the hardware can cause such bad
things.

Please refer to this forum

http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=14

And post the NVidia questions there.

thanks for the information .
degrading agp and other params dont gives effect.

only disabling RenderAccel.

btw. I`m impreesed that with Entlightenment 0.16 also with WM side composite
support everythhing works without problems.
