Tabsize in the Notes plugin is annoyingly big (8 chars). Notes windows are usually quite small as people usually want to save screen estate. Tabs, however, are sometimes even obligatory to keep the notes content readable. I think a default of 4 char tab would be good, and if that could be changeable from xfconf, even better (I personally prefer 3 char tabs).
please define 8 chars. is it the length or the height of the tabs?

it should have an option to ellipsize maybe? and/or smaller font size?
Sorry, let me re-rephrase: When you press the tab key on the keyboard, the plugin inserts a tab that's 8 characters wide. Does that make sense?
