When changing the appearance theme through the appearance manager, every xfce4-terminal window shrinks somewhat. This is most easily seen by opening some terminal windows and the appearance manager, and using the arrow keys to scroll through several different themes---the windows will eventually shrink down to nothing.

Note that this does not affect other windows, including e.g. xterm windows; just xfce4-terminal (that I've found), which is why I'm filing it here.

I'm running Xubuntu 11.10 on a Macbook 4,1, with Xfce4-terminal 0.4.8.
