I'm having the option "dynamic symbol" checked to have the day and month icon in the panel. After midnight it did not update itself to the new calendar day. Only switching it off and on in the settings updated the content. Further the symbol is not showing after starting the xfce-session. I have to click the clock applet once to open the orage calendar which brings up the dynamic calendar symbol in the panel. I did not find any option to unconfigure this and have it shown up from the beginning of the session. Regards, Frank
Did you do suspend or hibernate? There are known problems with those in new versions of Gtk+. Paste orage -v results here, please. The second problem is probably because Orage was not running. You should save the session so that Orage is running.
Yes, I had suspended the computer before. The output of orage -v is (translated from german): This is orage version 4.8.1 Released under the conditions of GNU General Public License. Compiled with GTK+-2.24.4, uses GTK+-2.24.6. Uses D-Bus for Import. Uses libnotify. Uses Archivierung. Uses OS version of the packet libical. Thanks for the hint regarding the second issue. I added orage to the apps which gets started at session begin.
thanks. Yes, this is know issue with Gtk+ 2.24. Suspend needs special work there and is not automatic anymore. Bug 8175 and Bug 7939 are the same issue. So this is basically fixed in the next version (not yet available outside git).

Fixed in 4.8.3.
