Edge resistance between workspaces should depend on the monitor width

When I attach my laptop to a 22" monitor and use mouse, I need large edge resistance.

But when I disconnect it and use 14" laptop screen and touchpad, this edge resistance becomes way too big, and I need to change settings.

Does it depend on window width, or it's just low moving sensivity of the touchpad?

Edge resistance is in pixels, it does not depend on monitor nor window width/height, this is purely the number of moves in pixels in a direction for a given amount time (250ms).

Sorry, I'm not asking a general question, I ask for an improvement. It should depend on screen width.

I don't see this as being any sort of improvement, that would just add more confusion.

Resistance is the amount of movement a user has to apply before triggering the action, this is exactly what happens here.
