It would be useful to have an option to display hidden files on the desktop. Personally, the content of my desktop is always changing according to my current work, and sometimes there may be hidden files to handle.
Added to xfdesktop. There's now a check button in xfdesktop-settings to toggle the display of hidden icons on the desktop.
