When I open the Properties or Rename Multiple Files dialogs on one or more audio files, Thunar appears to continually re-read the file properties. This causes several problems: - On the Properties -> General tab, any changes I start typing into the Name field get reverted within a few seconds, before I have a chance to press the Close button. - On the Properties -> Audio tab, any changes I start typing into the meta-data fields get reverted within a few seconds, before I have a chance to press the Save button. - In the Rename Multiple Files dialog, the Rename Files button becomes disabled and then re-enabled every few seconds. The duration for which the button stays disabled depends on how many files are selected and where the files reside. It's only a fraction of a second when I have selected a few files on my local file system, and maybe a second or two when I have selected dozens of files on my NAS. These problems occur with files whose names end with .flac, .mp3, .m4a, and possibly other suffixes typically used for audio files, even if the files are empty or have non-audio content. This may be related to bug 2776, but it seems to go beyond the media tag plugin, since it affects the Properties -> General tab. I'm running Xubuntu Natty, thunar 1.2.1-3ubuntu2 from the Xubuntu repositories.
