I am used to drag-and-drop between multiple windows from WinXP and KDE. At the moment, I am using Ubuntu 11.04/XFCE, as Unity/Compiz is extremely slow on my old system, and Nautilus is just (4-letter words omitted). In Thunar, this does NOT work as expected. Sometimes, I am able to select a file and drag to another window, but I haven't figured out yet when and how this works. Usually, when clicking a file in the source window and then dragging, Thunar will just mark a region of files. This ALWAYS seem to happen when I start clicking (in "detailed" display) outside of the file icon and inside of the file-name, file-date, file-size, etc. I don't understand the reason of the "mark region" function, as "copy" seems to be implemented, but "paste" is not. If I am making a stupid mistake, and there is some obscure way to copy single or multiple files between two or more Thunar windows, please point me to the documenation. Cheers, Norman
This is not a bug in the website. In what version of Thunar did you observe this bug? Can you still reproduce it in a recent release?
Multiple-file selection in "detailed view" and drag and drop seems to be working in Thunar 1.2.3 (Ubuntu 12.04). This bug can be closed.
Thanks for the response; closing.
