I observe this behavior with opera, which provides at the next start the dialog to recovery opera's windows, while it was ended by incorect way. After some investigation i find, that opera gets SIGKILL signal, which do not ends applications gracefully.

This behavior is strange with other apps too (claws-mail do not save his setting changes and problems was on IRC mentioned with keepassx too). It is problem mainly with apps, which are desired to run by whole session and for these, which are sitting in the SysTray too, while the users do not close them, before ending the session.

My settings are - do not save session at end and i am using custom buttons, to end session, which are calling the command:

"xfce4-session-logout --fast ACTION"

But killing by SIGKILL appears if i am using the default logout dialog too.

If opera wants to close properly, it needs to implement session management and watch the quit signal, which is send before sigkill is send (not by Xfce I think, but the fact that X is closing).
